Physical Therapist (Independent Contractor)
Current Service Areas: Vallie Health currently provides Occupational Therapy services throughout northern and central Utah, and we are continuing to expand.
  • Box Elder County (Brigham City-South Willard)
  • Weber County (Pleasant View/ North Ogden - South Weber/Roy)
  • Davis County (Clinton - North Salt Lake)
  • Salt Lake County (SLC - Bluffdale)
  • Northern Utah County (Eagle Mountain, Lehi - Spanish Fork) - ACTIVELY SEEKING
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist as an Independent Contractor (1099) in the home health care industry. The ideal candidate will have experience providing therapy services in patients’ homes, offering individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence. You will manage your schedule, conduct assessments, and implement treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ home environments, physical abilities, and functional mobility
  • Design and implement individualized PT interventions to improve strength, balance, range of motion, and ADLs
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions in patients’ homes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate care with families and healthcare providers
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive equipment, and safety
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (required)
  • Current and valid Utah PT license (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience; home health preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification (required)
  • Strong communication, flexibility, and independent work skills
Work Environment & Flexible Hours:
  • This position involves travel to patients’ homes within your active service areas.
  • Flexible scheduling: You set your own availability. Most therapists dedicate 1–3 specific days or parts of days, (e.g. MWF, T/TH, only mornings after school drop-off through afternoons before school pick-up)
  • Home health days: include drive time, documentation, and preparation. Some therapists may manage anywhere from 5-10 patients per day, others fewer — we respect that everyone works at their own full potential and value individual workflow preferences.
  • Schedules are not guaranteed: as patient volume can fluctuate with the normal ebb and flow of home health (slower summers, fewer post-surgical patients, vacation schedules, etc.).
  • Independent Contractor (1099) status: you are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business-related expenses.

Compensation: Competitive per-visit pay, based on experience. We strive to offer the best rates possible because we know home health is real work — both during and outside of visits.

If you’re ready to join a company that values your time, expertise, and wellbeing, we’d love to meet you!
