  • Davis County (Clinton–North Salt Lake) - ACTIVELY SEEKING

  • Northern Utah County (Eagle Mountain, Lehi–Spanish Fork) - ACTIVELY SEEKING
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) as an Independent Contractor (1099). The ideal clinician will provide home-based therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs, designing individualized treatment plans to improve patients’ quality of life and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ home environments, communication abilities, and swallowing function
  • Develop and implement individualized SLP treatment plans
  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions in patients’ homes
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, strategies, and adaptive communication tools
  • Collaborate with families and other healthcare providers
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations

Qualifications:
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
  • Current and valid Utah SLP license (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience; home health experience preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification (required)
  • Strong communication, flexibility, and independent work skills

Work Environment & Flexible Hours:
  • This position involves travel to patients’ homes within your active service areas.
  • Flexible scheduling: You set your own availability. Most therapists dedicate 1–3 specific days or parts of days, (e.g. MWF, T/TH, only mornings after school drop-off through afternoons before school pick-up)
  • Home health days: include drive time, documentation, and preparation. Some therapists may manage anywhere from 5-10 patients per day, others fewer — we respect that everyone works at their own full potential and value individual workflow preferences.
  • Schedules are not guaranteed: as patient volume can fluctuate with the normal ebb and flow of home health (slower summers, fewer post-surgical patients, vacation schedules, etc.).
  • Independent Contractor (1099) status: you are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business-related expenses.
